This hand made drinks cabinet sits quietly in the drawing room. However, its deceptively simple exterior uses subtle hints to draw a user in. Hand cast sculptural handles and carved texture doors are an invitation be opened. The contrasting luxury and reward of a fully equipped drinks cabinet is then revealed.
The design was developed in close collaboration with the renowned London interior design studio, bwt. Every detail from hand cut dovetails and the placement of accessories through to electrics for the fridge and lighting were fully considered and resolved prior to the making process.
The European oak doors feature a hand carved fluted surface, solid brass sand cast handles and solid brass hinges.
The interior features polished brass surfaces, hand cut dovetails, turned pulls, solid brass runners, integrated LED lighting with automatic switching, fridge, hand applied gloss paint finishes, aniline leather lined drawers and a hand rubbed oil finish applied to the European oak and oak veneers.
Vintage drinks cabinet
Special Branch Furniture were commissioned to upgrade the interior of an original vintage cabinet in collaboration with acclaimed London architect and interior designer P Joseph. Made from a mix of solid European oak and veneered oak with a hand rubbed white oil finish, peined and polished brass, toughened glass and aniline leather. Features integrated LED lighting with automatic switching.
Bow fronted drinks cabinet
Made from solid and veneered American black walnut with a hand rubbed oil finish, toughened glass, antiqued mirror, unlacquered brass glass racks and integrated lighting.
Retail display cabinet
Made from a mix of limed solid European oak and limed veneered oak with a hand rubbed oil finish, unlacquered brass detailing and hardware including sand cast Carl Aubock handles, toughened glass and mirrors, and veg tanned leather lined display drawer.
